What is a good typing speed?
The average is about 40 WPM. 60–70 WPM is fast, 80+ is professional level and 100+ is exceptional.
How is WPM calculated?
WPM is the number of correctly typed characters (including spaces) divided by five, per minute. Mistyped words don't count towards your speed.
How is accuracy calculated?
Accuracy compares the letters you typed with the letters of each target word, including missing and extra letters.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes, with the on-screen keyboard — although phone typing speeds are usually lower than on a physical keyboard.
